We are entering a period where people are prioritizing their own interests above all else. Loyalty is fading, arrogance is on the rise, and there is a disturbing trend of individuals chasing their own desires while ignoring the truth. It is a time where many are constantly looking for new information, but never actually anchoring themselves in what is real. But for those of us trying to do what is right, there is a clear path forward. We must rely on the foundational teachings we have held onto since the beginning. These are not just old ideas; they are the core instructions needed to stay grounded, correcting our course when we drift and equipping us for the challenges ahead. The mission remains the same: keep talking about what is true, regardless of whether it is popular or inconvenient. There is a growing crowd of people with 'itching ears' who only want to hear things that make them feel good. Do not be swayed by them. Stay alert, endure the hard times, and finish the job you were given to do. From a personal standpoint, the clock is running out. My own time of service is nearly complete, and I look back on this journey with the satisfaction of a runner crossing the finish line. It has been a long, hard fight, but the commitment to the cause was worth every sacrifice. Right now, the team is fractured. Some have walked away to chase the world, while others have been sent to different regions to help keep the mission alive. I am currently down to a very small circle, and I am asking for help to bridge the distance before winter sets in. Bring my essentials—the books and the scrolls—because they are vital to the work. Despite being left alone at my first hearing, I was not truly isolated. The support I received allowed the core message to reach even more people. Regardless of how the current situation turns out, there is a deep sense of confidence that the future is secure. Stay true to the mission, keep the connections strong, and let grace guide your steps. ### Evil in the Last Days But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of [God](/persons/god), having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these! They are the kind who worm their way into households and captivate vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and led astray by various passions, who are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as [Jannes](/persons/jannes) and [Jambres](/persons/jambres) opposed [Moses](/persons/moses), so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith. But they will not advance much further. For just like Jannes and Jambres, their folly will be plain to everyone. ### All Scripture Is God-Breathed You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my perseverance, my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in [Christ Jesus](/persons/jesus) will be persecuted, while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them. From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work. ### Preach the Word I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing. ### Personal Concerns Make every effort to come to me quickly, because [Demas](/persons/demas), in his love of this world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. [Crescens](/persons/crescens) has gone to Galatia, and [Titus](/persons/titus) to Dalmatia. Only [Luke](/persons/luke) is with me. Get [Mark](/persons/mark) and bring him with you, because he is useful to me in the ministry. [Tychicus](/persons/tychicus), however, I have sent to Ephesus. When you come, bring the cloak that I left with [Carpus](/persons/carpus) at Troas, and my scrolls, especially the parchments. [Alexander the coppersmith](/persons/alexander%20the%20coppersmith) did great harm to me. The Lord will repay him according to his deeds. You too should beware of him, for he has vigorously opposed our message. ### The Lord Remains Faithful At my first defense, no one stood with me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be charged against them. But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed, and all the Gentiles would hear it. So I was delivered from the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will rescue me from every evil action and bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever.
