After a series of intense events at his previous stop, our reports confirm he has shifted his strategy to move with maximum speed. While his travel companions pushed ahead by boat to Assos, Paul opted for a long-distance hike to meet them there, keeping his movements fluid and efficient. Once the team reunited at the port, the pace didn't slow down. They set sail immediately, moving through Mitylene, crossing the open water to stay opposite Chios, and hitting Samos before docking at Miletus. It is a grueling pace, clearly designed to cover ground as quickly as humanly possible. Insiders reveal that the urgency is not accidental. Paul has made a calculated decision to skip Ephesus—a major hub where he has deep ties—to avoid getting bogged down by time-consuming social and ministry obligations. And when he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene. Sailing on from there, we arrived the next day opposite Chios. The day after that we arrived at Samos, and on the following day we came to Miletus. Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, because he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.
