It is easy to feel completely lost when we lose a loved one, but we don't have to carry the same heavy, hopeless grief as those who haven't heard the good news. Think of it this way: since we believe that [Jesus](/persons/jesus) died and actually came back to life, it only makes sense that [God](/persons/god) is going to bring everyone who has passed on in faith right back with Him. We are looking at a future where nobody gets left behind. Here is how it is going to go down: the Lord is going to make a dramatic entrance from the sky. There will be a massive command, a voice like a trumpet, and the atmosphere will shift. The people who died believing in Him will be the first ones to rise to meet Him. Then, for those of us still walking the earth at that moment, we will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the clouds. The end result? We will all be together with the Lord, forever. No more goodbyes, no more gaps, just constant connection. Take these facts and use them to lift each other up today. When things feel dark or uncertain, remind your friends that this is not the end of the story, but the beginning of a reunion. Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope. For since we believe that [Jesus](/persons/jesus) died and rose again, we also believe that [God](/persons/god) will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an [archangel](/persons/archangel), and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
